Tom Vac chairs, designed by architect and designer Ron Arad, are an elegant and comfortable chair with a unique, ribbed construction with a generous seat and arm rests that make it suitable as a dining or occasional chair. Made from a moulded plastic seat with chrome plated legs, the chair has a slight flex that gives added comfort and is also stackable, which helps for storage and cleaning.

The modern look of the chair suits this renovated home well, with a mix of whites and naturals, interspersed with pops of bright colour keeping with the Brazilian personality. The indoor-outside flow of the home allows easy flow to the tropical garden and introduces some lush greens, which make a beautiful contrast to the concrete construction.

Looking back from the garden, you see how effectively the tulip style table combines with the four chairs. In spite of the generous size of the chair, the proportions are practical and effective. Overall, a very attractive renovation, complemented by good landscaping and interior design choices.

The exterior of the house completely belies the vibrancy and lush gardens inside. It's very deceptive and perhaps an intentional contrast that heightens the impact of walking through the front door!
