Contemporary extension to London terrace with retro-modern furniture creates amazing home
A striking modern extension to an otherwise traditional London terrace has completely transformed this home. The conservatory was demolished to create a more functional and useful area for the owners, who found the previous layout did not work for their modern lifestyle. The furniture includes white Bertoia side chairs around a light wooden table as well as feature Bertoia Diamond chair and a white Eames RAR rocking chair. The retro-modern furniture complements the bright interiors and takes full advantage of the large windows and white walls to maintain a designer look.
To start our tour - the new addition looks completely different to the traditional terrace, both inside and out
The kitchen and dining area have a Scandinavian feel all in white and with light coloured wood and Bertoia chairs. A thoroughly contemporary design and furniture selection
It's always nice to link designs across the house so the black Bertoia Diamond chair is a clever combination with the matching dining chairs. The Diamond chair is a stylish occasional chair and although visually light, it fills the corner of the bedroom area perfectly.
Sitting in this white Eames rocking chair and enjoying the view to the garden would be a great way to relax. Again, the light colours and classic styles suit this home well and reinforces the the mid-century theme
