Architect designed home in Beunos Aires with expansive indoor-outdoor living area
This home in Nordelta, Tigre, Buenos Aires province was designed from scratch by Fritz + Fritz Arquitectos for a family residence. The distinguishing feature of the design is the incredible 12m span of the opening to the outdoor deck and swimming pool which was made possible by suspending parts of the second floor to take load off the structural supports. The architect's vision has been transformed into reality as shown in the attached video below. It's impressive to see how complete the architect's vision was before the house was built - down to the details of the key furnishings like the lounge, the dining table with Wishbone chairs and Egg chairs in the loungeroom.
The square dining table works nicely in the space between the kitchen and living area. Many people prefer a square table to create a more intimate space where people are closer to one another and it's also easier to reach food placed in the centre of the table.
The Egg chairs make a stylish addition to the modern lounge and retain the theme of mid-century furniture in the downstairs area.
The entry to the house at night is very open and inviting - a home built for an indoor-outdoor lifestyle and entertaining.
